Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
