The speculation surrounding The Game Awards has been intense, notably after host Geoff Keighley shared an enigmatic photo of a strange statue. The secret has now been solved. Larian Studios is developing a completely new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was presented with a daring trailer packed with striking imagery, from a burning man to an orgy and the very unleashing of hell.
Not the Expected Sequel
Anyone anticipating Divinity Original Sin 3, prepare for a surprise. Larian warned that a follow-up to its critically acclaimed RPGs is not being worked on now.
Nevertheless, the developer described this new Divinity as a continuation of the core franchise. This distinction implies that the team could be crafting a faster-paced experience instead of another tactical title. For now, it remains theory, as only a cinematic trailer is available.
